Our Student Testimonials

In 2018, I escaped a physically and emotionally abusive, narcissistic marriage. My children at the time were 8, 6, 3, and 2, and I had been a stay at home mom. During my separation and divorce, I developed a number of health issues brought on by stress. With the support of a few really close friends, I started to slowly rebuild my life. In January 2019, I started attending the “Northwest School of Holistic Healing”, which in the beginning had to do more with keeping busy than any future plan to work for myself. Although, I have always been interested in alternative medicine, and I felt I had finally found my calling. Before I graduated I had 7 clients, that I was helping on a weekly basis. Then I started acquiring clients just by mouth, and through family and friends. I then took their “Organic Skin Care” course, and Aromatherapy course to hone my skills. I felt excited and alive and my confidence in myself had returned. I now had the skills to be able to help other women to de-stress and feel inspired. If you need help in making the choice to attend a holistic school, do yourself a favor and attend NSSH. Thank you, so very much for turning my life around and helping me to achieve my goals.

I came across the School of Holistic Healing while I was still in the Marines. I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do when I got out. My grandmother raised me on holistic healing medicines so I know they work much better than taking toxic pharmaceutical antibiotics. My experience at NW School of Holistic Healing was 100% positive on all aspects. I have always been interested in alternative medicine, and I felt I had finally found my calling. This has been the most positive decision I have made in a long time. Currently me and my best friend have opened our own practice and have been overloaded with people that are fed up with modern medicine not working. So, again thank you for all of your support and confidence in me. Joshua

I would like to say again how much I appreciate the evidence-based approach to herbs. So many herbalists and internet sites approach herbs from a standpoint of 'always safe' or 'the body will use what it needs and filter the rest' and similar statements. Not enough attention is paid, in my opinion, to the "scientific" aspects of herbs things like how the herb works, proper dosage, possible side effects, etc. It was quite refreshing to discover that the School of Holistic Healing provides a much more complete picture.

The single most important thing I learned during my studies was the use of hemp and all of the many things it can be used for. When I shared this knowledge with my husband he was astounded. If I were to choose another it would be how much diet has to do with our wellness and ability to maintain our health and fighting off and preventing disease. I would advise new students to use their tutors. Mine was wonderful and I am so thankful for all of Janet Carpenters help.

I recently purchased the homeopathy 101 course and I couldn't be happier. All the remedies in the Homeopathic First Aid Kit are conveniently held inside the box, in alphabetical order so its easy to find the remedy you need. The booklet that comes with it is also alphabetized by remedy and symptom in the index, which makes it even easier to use when you have sick children on your hands. For those of you that are new to homeopathy and are considering taking the course kudo's to you. If you have younger children you will benefit greatly from this course. The tablets dissolve quickly, which is a plus with children. There is no nasty taste and the only 'taste' is a hint of sweetness, beyond that, nothing. The remedies work! In the last two months we've gone through a stomach bug and the flu in our house and the homeopathic remedies have dramatically shortened the length of the illness as well as helped my children feel more comfortable while their immune systems did the rest.

When I found out we were going to have our first child, I knew I didn't want to raise my child on a bunch of antibiotics. I wanted to learn how to take care of my family in a healthy way. So, I started researching holistic schools and came across NWSHH. I decided while I was pregnant this would be a good time to go back to school. It took me 8 months, but I graduated in September 2014, and have been busy acquiring clients for my business. This worked out great for me in the beginning because of my newborn, I worked out of my home for the first 6 months, which allowed me to care for my clients and I didn't have to worrry about paying day care.I am amazed at how many people are turning to holistic healing. I had 3 clients before I graduated, and have built my client base from there. I have been given the opportunity to have my business in an office space for a relatively fair price. My chiropractor had an empty room he wasn't using, and he offered it to me for my practice. I just want to say thank you, for all of your help and great advice. I could never have done this if I had not taken your Family Holistic Practitioner course. P.S. We are happy to announce our beautiful daughter Mercy Marie 6 pounds, 5 oz., 21 inches long.

NWSHH Graduate Sarah H. I recently saw a pleasant 70 year old woman who was totally miserable because she had ongoing flatulence and an urgency with diarrhea to the point that she could not go out of the house and certainly could not entertain. She also could not eat much of anything because of her chronic heartburn. She had been to see a gastroenterologist who did an endoscopy and colonoscopy and could find nothing wrong. The cost of this treatment was in the thousands of dollars. My Holistic Approach evaluation revealed that she had a weight gain after being on prednisone for asthma symptoms for 3 years. This was about the time her gastrointestinal symptoms started. She dreaded the possibility of ever going on prednisone again and was convinced this was the cause of her GI issues. Her physicians rejected this notion. She was a smart lady. My interpretation was that she likely had an intestinal imbalance and the steroids were likely the trigger. A comprehensive stool analysis revealed Candida and several potentially pathogenic bacteria. She had virtually no beneficial bacteria. A course of anti-yeast therapy and antibiotics eliminated the culprits and she was replenished with aggressive Probiotics and pre-biotics. She has been well since. Thank you again for all my excellent training.

The School of Holistic Healing really exceeded all of my expectations. The teachers were all amazing professionals from their field, many of them still practicing while teaching. They created a safe space to explore ourselves as individuals. I left the program with a huge amount of confidence, a plethora of new skills and looking forward to starting my practice. I highly recommend the school to anyone looking for a well-rounded holistic program. If your looking for an excellent Family Holistic Practitioner program there is no need to look any further.

I just wanted to say thank you very much for allowing me to complete your course even though I wasn't 18. My goal is to become a holistic practitioner, and this course was awesome even though there was a lot to learn. I especially enjoyed learning all about the immune and nervous system. I feel confident in my studies that I will be able to help my friend who is very sick. Thanks again so much.

The content covered in the family holistic practitioner course is extensive and pertinent to the situations encountered by a family holistic practitioner. The school administrator Amy was very helpful and always responded quickly when issues arose. This is definitely a school for a self-motivated, driven student. My experience at the Northwest School of Holistic Healing was a very positive one, so much so that I am now an instructor!

The curriculum at the NWSH is very comprehensive and prepares the students quite well for family practice. I would highly recommend the school to anyone wishing to pursue the highest standards for natural medicine education.
